易混辨析
attempt/try/manage
attempt為正式用語,常指一次的而不是連續(xù)的嘗試,往往暗示這種嘗試達不到目的,常包含“冒險”的意義。
try為一般用語,指為成功做某事而付出努力或花費一定代價;后接不定式時表示“試圖做某事”;后接動名詞時表示“試著做某事”。
manage表示“成功地做成某事”,強調(diào)結(jié)果。
