大部分人只會回答：I think — —
然而這種說法一看就是從中學教科書上學到的，年代古早得好像博物館里的舊石器文物，根本不是公元802019年的時髦說法。
所以今天，我們來學習一些表達“I think”更高招的說法。
『 I maintain/suppose/presume that 』
除了think這種老舊的說法，我們可以用 maintain/suppose/presume 這幾個詞來替換。
這些詞都比think、believe 要高大上、聽上去有質感，比如。
I presume the director has already heard the news.
我覺得主管已經(jīng)知道這件事了吧。
I maintain that all workers should be treated eqaully.
我認為所有的工人都應該被平等對待。
I suppose I saw us and our relationship as aging together , rather like a wine.
隨著年齡的增長，我認和我之間的關系慢慢地融洽了好多，就像是一瓶好酒，越陳越香。
『 I would say 』
當然啦，口語中，還可以更輕松些，直接說成“I would say”，意思是“我認為……”
I would say it's almost time to hold him to that promise.
我認為已經(jīng)差不多是時候讓他兌現(xiàn)那個承諾了。
『 If you ask me 』
另外一種比較口語的說法，就是“if you ask me”，翻譯成中文，約等于“要我說”。
If you ask me, there's something a bit queer going on.
要是你問我的話，我覺得有點兒不太對勁。
『 In my humble opinion』
這個表達算是中等常見吧，比較文縐縐，適用于比較正式的演講或書信中。
這個短語有點故作低調，欲說還休的感覺，雖然是humble opinion，其實一般用這個短語時，說話的人對自己觀點其實是相當自信的。
這相當于中文里的謙稱，類似于古代大臣所說的：依臣愚見的感覺。
In my humble opinion, he will win the election.
依我拙見, 他將在選舉中獲勝。
『 In my own conceit 』
這個短語也是英文中的“文言文”，是年代比較久遠的用法啦。
它的意思是“自以為”，是英國人文縐縐的說法，相當于咱們中文里的“私以為”。
In my own conceit, the best practice is to maintain silent at the moment.
我以為，此刻最好的做法是保持沉默。
『 from the way I see things 』
這個短語算是比較高階的說法了。它的妙處是通過視角來表達個人看法。
意思是“從我看事情的方式來說”，即“從我的角度來看”。
Well, the way I see it, when you're in a place you forget what it looks like from the outside.
從我的角度來看，有時候真是當局者迷。
『From where I am sitting/standing 』
同樣的，還有這個說法。
簡單來說，這個短語直譯起來是“從我站著、坐著的角度來看”的意思，但這和from my perspective有異曲同工之妙，而且更生動、活潑。
From where I was sitting, it seemed that Mr Smith had broken the rule.
我認為，當時史密斯先生破壞了規(guī)則。
『 It sounds to me like 』
這個短語也很地道，意思是“在我聽來”，其實就是 I think的另一種說法。
It sounds to me like they are passing the buck.
在我聽來，他們在推卸責任。
『 In my book 』
這個表達很有特色啦，相當于中文里所說的“依我之見”。
In my book, this is not the way to handle it.
依我之見，這不是處理此事的辦法。
『 For my part 』
For my part意思是“就我而言”。
For my part, I apologise for any offence caused by my actions yesterday.
對我來說，我對昨天由于我的言行引起的冒犯表示道歉。
『 By my reckoning 』
By my reckoning的意思是“據(jù)我估計”。
By my reckoning, it must be 60 kilometres from here to the coast.
據(jù)我計算，從這里到海岸準有六十公里。
