英國(guó)人如此喜歡談?wù)撎鞖猓匀辉~匯里面也少不了一些跟天氣有關(guān)的成語(yǔ)了。其實(shí)除了英國(guó)人常談天氣,在我國(guó)這么變換莫測(cè)的天氣條件下,天氣的轉(zhuǎn)變也經(jīng)常被我們掛在嘴邊。例如欲來(lái)不來(lái)的臺(tái)風(fēng)(Typhoon)、悶熱的天氣...因此我們也常常用“人心像天氣,變換無(wú)!眮(lái)形容人心莫測(cè)。那么在英語(yǔ)中,又有哪些有關(guān)天氣的英語(yǔ)成語(yǔ)表達(dá)不同意思的呢?一起來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)學(xué)習(xí)吧~

1. as right as rain 萬(wàn)事順利、身體健康

I really hope things will be as right as rain.

真希望事情一切順利。

Jane had a cold, but she's as right as rain now.

簡(jiǎn)得了感冒,可是她現(xiàn)在完全好了。

2. Bolt from the blue 晴天霹靂

用來(lái)形容事情發(fā)生得如此突然,讓人感到驚訝和措手不及。

The chairman was only elected a year ago, his resignation came as a bolt from the blue.

主席是一年前才當(dāng)選的,他的辭職讓大家感到突然和震驚。

3. To have a face like thunder 火冒三丈

形容一個(gè)人非常生氣,達(dá)到怒不可遏的程度。

13. Every cloud has a silver lining 黑暗中總有一線光明

鼓勵(lì)人們即使在最困難的時(shí)刻也不要失去信心或放棄希望。

15. A fair-weather friend 可共安樂(lè),不能共患難的朋友

這和同甘共苦呈相反意思,指那些關(guān)鍵時(shí)刻靠不住的朋友。

I thought I could count on Sue, but I've discovered she's just a fair-weather friend.

我以為我能依賴Sue這個(gè)人呢,不過(guò),我發(fā)現(xiàn)她只不過(guò)是一個(gè)只能同甘不能共苦的朋友。


16. under the weather 身體不舒服

She said that she wasn't sick, but just feeling under the weather.
