1. 表示“安排”、“準(zhǔn)備”,注意以下用法:
①通常為可數(shù)名詞。如:
I’m satisfied with your arrangements. 我對(duì)你的安排很滿意。
We could make an arrangement to meet at10 o’clock. 我們可以安排在10點(diǎn)鐘見面。
We have finished allthe arrangements for the party. 我們已完成了晚會(huì)的所有準(zhǔn)備工作。
有時(shí)也用作不可數(shù)名詞。如:
The price of the house is a matterof arrangement. 此屋的價(jià)格可以商量決定。
②用于短語(yǔ) make arrangements(作安排),注意其后的有用搭配。如:
They are making arrangements for the party. 他們?cè)跒橥頃?huì)作準(zhǔn)備。
Let’s make arrangements for getting there on time. 我們安排一下要準(zhǔn)時(shí)趕到那兒。
I have to make arrangements to takeyou to Paris. 我得安排一下把你帶到巴黎去。
I’ll make arrange-ments for someone to meet you at the station. 我將安排一個(gè)人去車站接你。
We made arrangements with him to meet in a week. 我們和他約好一周后見面。
2. 表示“排列”、“整理”,若指排列或整理的動(dòng)作(the act ofputting into or of being putting into order),則為不可數(shù)名詞;若指排列或整理的結(jié)果(something that has been put in order),則通常為可數(shù)名詞。如:
He suggested arrangement by subject. 他建議按學(xué)科排列。
That’s a beautiful flower arrangement. 那花排列很美。
