兩者用作副詞時(shí)的用法與區(qū)別如下：

1. 表示“清晰地”“不模糊地”，兩者�？蓳Q用。如：

It’s too dark to see clear(ly). 太黑了，看不清楚。

He spoke loud(ly) and clear(ly). 他說(shuō)得既宏亮又清楚。

但是，若有程度副詞修飾，通常要用 clearly。如：

He spoke quite [very] clearly. 他說(shuō)得很清楚。

2. clear 可表示“完全地”“一直地”。此時(shí)不用 clearly。如：

The prisoner escaped clear away. 囚犯逃得無(wú)影無(wú)蹤。

He climbed clear to the top of the tree. 他一直爬到樹(shù)頂。

注：以上用法中的 clear 有時(shí)可與用作副詞 clean 換用。

3. clearly 可表示“顯然地”(修飾句子)。此時(shí)不能用 clear。如：

Clearly he doesn’t love her. 顯然他并不愛(ài)她。

We clearly need to think again. 我們顯然需要再三考慮。

注：這樣用的 clearly 通常置于句首，有時(shí)置于句中，但一般不放在句末，否則可能有歧義。比較：

Clearly he didn’t say so. 顯然他沒(méi)有這樣說(shuō)。

He didn’t say so clearly. 他說(shuō)得沒(méi)有那么清楚。
