Liu Qian Insists on Keeping the Mystery of Magic
Liu Qian(劉謙) is the only magician from Taiwan, China to have been invited to Las Vegas(拉斯維加斯) and the Magic Castle of Hollywood(好萊塢魔術(shù)城堡) for magic show, and also the magician in Taiwan who has won most international prizes. He has performed magic throughout the world and is praised for his leading style(前衛(wèi)風(fēng)格) and amazing originality.
Liu Qian began to teach himself magic skills at the age of 7. At 8, he tried to show his magic to his classmates. His first magic show was to put a pencil into his mouth and then take it out from his neck. When he graduated from a university, he just wanted to have a regular job and perform magic at home after work. But he failed again and again in job-hunting. So he decided to make a living by performing magic. He has never learned any magic from anybody. Instead, his great success depends completely on his own study and observation.(www.nmet168.com)
Nowadays, on the Internet, there are many popular posts(帖子) which attempt to uncover the secret of Liu’s magic. About this, Liu says, “I can say surely that theses posts are just a kind of guess by amateurs. So far, nobody has been able to guess the secret of my magic in a correct way. No magician would reveal the content and the secret of his magic to the public. Neither would I. In fact, just like film and opera, magic is one of performing arts. People can enjoy themselves from watching magic just as they do so from seeing a movie. It’s not necessary for them to try to uncover the secret of magic, because it is not a trick, but a dream-like situation in a conscious state. Can you get any pleasure if you wake up from such a dream?”

劉謙不贊成破解魔術(shù)
劉謙是唯一曾受邀至美國拉斯維加斯及好萊塢魔術(shù)城堡演出的中國臺灣魔術(shù)師，也是臺灣獲得最多國際獎項(xiàng)的魔術(shù)師。他表演的足跡遍布世界各地，表演的前衛(wèi)風(fēng)格及驚人的創(chuàng)意，也獲得海內(nèi)外同行贊賞。
劉謙7歲時開始自學(xué)魔術(shù)，8歲時就嘗試表演給同學(xué)看。他所表演的第一個魔術(shù)是，先把一支鉛筆吃進(jìn)嘴里，再把它從后腦取出來。劉謙從大學(xué)畢業(yè)后，最初只想當(dāng)一個平凡的上班族，下班后在自己家里玩魔術(shù)。但是，他多次應(yīng)征工作皆無所獲，故決定以魔術(shù)表演維生。他始終沒有正式拜師學(xué)藝，而是通過自我學(xué)習(xí)、各處揣摩，才獲得今天的成果。
現(xiàn)在網(wǎng)上流傳著不少揭秘劉謙魔術(shù)的帖子，劉謙說：“我可以確定這些都是外行的猜測，迄今沒有一個人能猜出我魔術(shù)的真正表演奧秘。任何一個魔術(shù)師都不會將他表演魔術(shù)的內(nèi)容、奧秘加以公開，我當(dāng)然也不會。其實(shí)魔術(shù)與電影、戲劇一樣，都是一種表演藝術(shù)，大家可以用看電影的那種輕松心情觀賞。大家不必執(zhí)著于‘破解’ 魔術(shù)，因?yàn)樗皇球_局，而是一個清醒的夢境，非要把美夢弄醒，還有什么樂趣呢?”
