隨著寒潮的來臨，讓我們看看和“寒潮”相關(guān)的英語詞匯。

“寒潮”，Cold snap是指strong cold air（強冷空氣）由亞洲大陸西部或西北部侵襲中國時的強降溫天氣過程，一般多發(fā)生在秋末、冬季、初春時節(jié)。Cold snap地面高壓的前端一般都有一條cold front(冷鋒，冷空氣前鋒）。

除了以上這些還有 ：

dry spell就是指“干旱期”，也就是“旱季”，還可以用dry season來表示。Spell在這里表示“連續(xù)的一段時間”。比如寒流過后，我們終于可以享受到a spell of warm weather（持續(xù)的溫暖天氣）。
