Concerned parents will have taken time off work to cook for their children. They'll have mapped out the route to the exam hall, booked hotel rooms nearby and looked out cabs with lucky number plates.
報(bào)道中的plate就是我們?nèi)粘Ｋ姷?ldquo;車牌”。如果您想強(qiáng)調(diào)“帶有車牌號(hào)的車牌”，可在plate前面加上number；而如果您言談的重心是在“車牌號(hào)”上，則可表達(dá)為plate number。例如：The car, with the plate number W856RKX, has fled the scene after running into the poor old man.（車牌號(hào)為W856RKX的肇事車輛撞了那位可憐的老人后從現(xiàn)場逃跑。）
