1、count，計算
如：Let's count them.我們數(shù)數(shù)它們吧。
He is too young to count the number of his fingers.
他太小了，還數(shù)不清自己有幾根手指呢。
2、about ,關于，大約，在。。。。。。周圍
如：How much is the picture?這幅畫多少錢？
——It’s about eight hundred yuan.大概800元。
What's the story about?這是關于什么的故事？
——It’s about a hero.關于一個英雄的。
3、How far is it from…to…?從。。。。。。到。。。。。有多遠？it指的是距離，回答時用It is…kilometres from …to…
如：How far is it from the movie theater to your home?
從電影院到你家有多遠？
It’s about five kilometres.大約5公里。
4、注意：thousand 前有數(shù)字和冠詞時，thousand 不加“s”,但是后面有“of”表示數(shù)量很多，但又不清楚具體多少時，應該加“s”,
即，thousands of,hundred,million,billion 也這么用
