在閱讀測試題中，總是有一些詢問詞義的題目，而這些詞往往被設(shè)計成考生不熟悉的詞。此類題型不僅僅是考查一兩個詞或詞語的詞義，而且還考查考生對上下文之間關(guān)系的理解，尤其是原文中邏輯關(guān)系比較復雜的地方，在中考中會經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)這種題型。
這一類試題一般不會考查詞語的本義，而是強調(diào)單詞在上下文中的含義，有時這種含義與單詞本義是有很大差別的，以此來檢驗考生是否能正確理解語篇中包含的真正含義。因此，我們必須學會在不查詞典的情況下，從所給的選項中確定正確答案。
