一、內(nèi)容及分析

本單元話題:談?wù)搯栴}及提供建議(Talk about problems and give advice),討論學(xué)生在學(xué)校和家庭中遇到的種種問題,提供相應(yīng)的建議,為他人找到合理的解決辦法,評價取舍他人的建議,為自己的問題找到最佳的解決辦法。由Section A的 “Talk about problems and give advice”到Section B的向 “Teen Talk, a radio advice program, a newspaper advice column”尋求幫助及拓展閱讀中如何 “Relax yourselves”的介紹,教材始終貫穿“討論問題、提供建議”這一主線。通過本單元的學(xué)習(xí),使學(xué)生學(xué)會使用情態(tài)動詞could/should及習(xí)慣用語 “what’s the matter? what should I do ?why don’t you …?”,談?wù)撟约旱纳、學(xué)習(xí)中存在的某些問題,提出建議,并能根據(jù)實際情況及個人經(jīng)驗對他人的建議做出評價 “Good idea./Okay idea./Bad idea.”。通過 “Writing to a newspaper advice column”及模擬“Answering Lonely Kid’s problems”,指導(dǎo)學(xué)生如何陳述自己的問題以及該從哪些方面考慮給對方提出建議,并通過拓展閱讀 “Maybe you should learn to relax”讓學(xué)生了解外國學(xué)生的煩惱并學(xué)會如何緩減壓力。通過本單元的學(xué)習(xí),能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生主動解決問題的意識和能力,在交流中尋求幫助、堅持自己的觀點、聽取別人建議的能力,也發(fā)展學(xué)生與人和諧交往的技能。

二、學(xué)習(xí)者特征分析

學(xué)生在八年級上冊第2單元 “What’s the matter?”中已學(xué)過詢問病情、給出建議和情態(tài)動詞should/shouldn’t的用法。本單元談?wù)摰氖菍W(xué)生非常熟悉又有親身體驗的話題,所以在學(xué)生掌握了“談?wù)搯栴}及提出建議”的基本用法后就可以讓他們自由談?wù)摳髯缘膯栴}或向同伴提出合理的建議。

三、單元整體目標(biāo)分析

1、知識與能力:

1).語言技能目標(biāo)

(1)能運用陳述句談?wù)撛趯W(xué);蚣彝ブ杏龅降姆N種麻煩和問題;

(2)能運用情態(tài)動詞could / should提出相應(yīng)的建議,為他人找到合理的解決辦法;

(3)能對他人的建議做出評價和判斷(Good / Okay / Bad idea),從而決定是否接受或拒絕他人的建議;

(4)能夠以各種方式,如打電話、寫信、發(fā)e-mail等,向 “Teen Talk, a radio advice program, a newspaper advice column”等尋求幫助。

2).語言知識目標(biāo)

(1)能掌握并運用情態(tài)動詞could / should;

(2)能正確運用“What should I / he / she / they / you / we do?”句型尋求幫助;

(3)掌握并運用“What’s the matter? What’s wrong?”等句型詢問對方遇到的問題

2.過程與方法

1)通過Pairwork ,用得體的語言陳述問題和煩惱并能給對方提出建議;在對話交流中,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生與人溝通的能力以及對所提供建議的評判取舍能力;

2)充分利用錄音材料進行聽說模仿訓(xùn)練,了解有關(guān)電視臺、電臺、報紙雜志、心理輔導(dǎo)及求助機構(gòu)的職能,通過向以上機構(gòu)寫信、打電話、發(fā)e-mail等方式提高學(xué)生運用語言的能力;

3)通過與同學(xué)溝通交流,對同學(xué)的建議做出推理和判斷,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的綜合分析和判斷能力;通過調(diào)查報告、指定幫助他人計劃等方式,提高學(xué)生調(diào)查分析能力和解決實際問題的能力;通過聽錄音,提高學(xué)生抓細(xì)節(jié)信息的能力。

3、情感態(tài)度與價值觀:

1)通過共同探討、解決各種煩惱和困惑,幫助學(xué)生學(xué)會反思自我,體諒他人,增強合作意識,培養(yǎng)積極樂觀的情感態(tài)度;發(fā)展學(xué)生的人際交往能力以及在實際生活中分析問題、解決問題的能力。

2)了解談?wù)搯栴}、尋求幫助和提供建議的基本方式,學(xué)會用得體的語言進行表述;

3)初步了解英美等西方國家的學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)和生活中遇到的主要問題與煩惱,以及獲取幫助的渠道。

語法焦點在于情態(tài)動詞could / should的用法。

五、教法選擇與學(xué)法指導(dǎo)
