1) 新聞(U.)形式是復(fù)數(shù),但意義是單數(shù);用作主語,謂語動詞需用單數(shù)形式.表示“條”,“則”須加piece.
eg. I like reading foreign news.
I have a good piece of news.
6. lost (lose的過去式,過去分詞)
丟失 (v.) I lost my key.

例句:It will be a cartoon which has a happy ending.
(這是由which引導(dǎo)的定語從句,指事物,在從句中做主語或賓語。如果定語從句的引導(dǎo)詞作賓語就可以省略,無論從句修飾的是人還是物。)

1、Word n. 言語
1)have a word with sb. 和某人說句話
Your friend wants to have a word with you.
2)in a word總之,簡言之,一言以蔽之

2、mess n. 凌亂,混亂;困境

4、lead (led-led) vt.領(lǐng)導(dǎo) n.領(lǐng)先,首先
The road leads you to the town.走這條路你就能到鎮(zhèn)上。
1)lead, guide 與區(qū)別
lead帶路,牽引;走在前頭,引導(dǎo)區(qū)目的地。
Guide 引著參觀,導(dǎo)游;一直陪在一旁
direct 指路;指出方向,不一定去。如:
He led me to my seat. 他帶我到了我的座位。
She guided the tourists around the city.她引著旅游者參觀了這個城市。
Could you direct me to the railway station?
你能指給我去火車站的路嗎?
2)lead up to作為。。。的準(zhǔn)備,引出,導(dǎo)致;使話題(漸漸)轉(zhuǎn)向
The chain of events led up to her death.
That's just what I was leading up to.那正是我要說的。
3)lead a dog’s life 過著不快樂的生活
He leads a dog’s life being a tramp.
4)Lead off開始。如:
He led off by telling us the latest news.
他講話開始前先給我們講了條最新消息。
5)Lead to引起;導(dǎo)致。如:
Smoking cigarettes leads to lung disease.吸煙導(dǎo)致肺病。
5、rule n. 規(guī)則,規(guī)定vt. 統(tǒng)治
1)to rule out doing sth.阻止做某事
eg. The chairman has ruled out spending any more money on the project .董事長已決定不再給這個項目投資了。
2)rules and regulations規(guī)制度;school rules校規(guī);to break the rules違規(guī)
3)ruler n. 統(tǒng)治者;直尺
6、common普通的,通俗的;ordinary 普通的,平常的;正常的;平凡的;usual 通常的,常有的,常見的,普通的
in common adv. 共同的we have a lot in common.
7、experience
1)experience n.(可數(shù)名詞) 經(jīng)歷,閱歷
He wrote a book about his experiences in the war.
Travelling in China was an experience I’ll never forget.
2)experience n. (不可數(shù)名詞)表示“(由實踐得的)”經(jīng)驗,體驗;感受
Everyone learns best from his own experience.

1 梳理語法:定語從句(3)— 引導(dǎo)詞的省略
引導(dǎo)定語從句的關(guān)系代詞有who, whom, whose, which, that; 關(guān)系副詞有where, when, why。它們都在定語從句中擔(dān)任句子成分。現(xiàn)分述如下:
1). 定語從句如果修飾人,常常用關(guān)系代詞who,有時也用that(作主語時多用 who)。
例如:
  He is a man who / that often helps others. 他是一位經(jīng)常幫助別人的人。
  如果這個關(guān)系代詞在從句中作賓語, 就應(yīng)當(dāng)用whom或that, 但這種情況往往都可以
把引導(dǎo)詞省略,且在口語中可用who代替whom。例如:
  Here is the man (whom / that / who) you would like to see.
這就是你想見的那個人。
  
值得注意的是,如果是在介詞的后面就只能用whom。例如:
  The boy to whom I spoke is my brother.
剛才和我說話的那個男孩是我弟弟。
  如果表示“……的”時,就用who的所有格whose。例如:
  Is there anyone in our class whose father is a doctor?
我們班有誰的父親是當(dāng)醫(yī)生的嗎?
  whose的先行詞也可是物。例如:
  The house whose windows face the street is my uncle’s.
窗戶面朝街的那座房子是我叔叔的。
2). 定語從句如果修飾“物”,用關(guān)系代詞that的時候較多,有時也用which。
例如: It’s a computer which / that costs six thousand yuan.
這是一臺價值六千元的電腦。
  當(dāng)這個代詞在從句中用作賓語時,往往都會把它省略。例如:
  The present(that / which) you gave me is very beautiful.
你給我的那禮物非常漂亮。
  在介詞的后面只能用which。例如:
  This is the book about which they are talking.
