教材分析
本單元主要學習日期的表達方式。并在上一單元學習了數(shù)詞的基礎(chǔ)上學習序數(shù)詞1-31。通過圍繞生日進行互相問答式的討論，掌握英語表達年，月，日的單詞和句型，能夠熟練地談?wù)摳鞣N有關(guān)日期的話題，詢問表達年齡的句型以及詢問節(jié)日的表達法以及能夠熟練運用名詞所有格形式。
單元總體目標
本單元通過學習使用When is … ?引導(dǎo)的問句以及回答，教會學生如何合理的安排自己的作息時間，做時間的主人。

基數(shù)詞變序數(shù)詞，我們可以通過一個口訣來記憶其規(guī)律
基變序，有規(guī)律，第一、二、三單獨記。-th 要從四加起，八去t來九去e。遇到ve, f替，-ty變?yōu)閠ie,后跟-th莫遲疑。若想表示幾十幾，只變個位就可以。

【學習過程】
一、自主學習
1、知識海洋：birthday是由birth和day合成的單詞。在英語構(gòu)詞法中稱為合成詞。類似的合成詞還有：afternoon下午；backpack 雙肩背包；basketball籃球；classroom教室；grandfather祖父; homework 家庭作業(yè)；notebook 筆記本。
How old…? 意為“……幾歲了（多大了）？”，是對年齡提問的特殊疑問句，其句型是：“How old + be+主語？”， 答句常用句型“主語+be+基數(shù)詞+year(s)/months old”表示，也可以直接說出年齡。如：
—How old is your mother? 你的母親多大年齡了？
—He is fifty (years old). 他五十歲了。
—How old is little Tom? 小，湯姆多大了？
—He is only eight months old. 他才八個月。
注意：在英美國家一般不能向成年人詢問年齡，尤其是女性，否則被視為不禮貌會令對方尷尬。
