7. bring off
(1) 從船上救出。如：
The lifeboat brought off all the crew. 救生船把船上所有船員都救了出來(lái)。
(2) 成功，設(shè)法做成。如：
It was a difficult task but I brought it off. 那是項(xiàng)困難的工作，但我還是終于把它完成了。
8. bring on
(1) 帶來(lái)，造成，引起。如：
Dirt often bring on diseases. 臟東西常常引起疾病。
He was out in the rain all day and this brought on a bad cold. 他在外面淋了一天雨，因此患了重感冒。
(2) 促使成長(zhǎng)或生長(zhǎng)。如：
The hot weather is bringing the wheat on nicely. 因?yàn)樘鞖庋谉�，小麥長(zhǎng)勢(shì)良好。
(3) 幫助(學(xué)習(xí)者等)進(jìn)步或提高。如：

9. bring out
(1) 取出，拿出。如：
He brought out his dictionary and looked the word up init. 他拿出詞典來(lái)查這個(gè)詞。
(2) 顯示出，揭示出，襯托出，使出來(lái)。如：
It brought out the meaning of the poem. 它揭示出了這首詩(shī)的意義。
This picture is very clear and brings out the wrinkles in her face. 這張照片很清晰，把她臉上的皺紋都照了出來(lái)。

(3) 出版(書刊等)，推出(作品、產(chǎn)品等)。如：
He has brought two new books at the same time. 他同時(shí)出版了兩本新書。
This factory has brought out a new type of car. 這家工廠生產(chǎn)了一種新型汽車。
10. bring over 說服，使改變(思想等)。如：
You can’t bring me over by such an argument. 你這樣的論點(diǎn)不能改變我的看法。
11. bring through 使度過(困難，危機(jī)等)。如：
They brought him through the cold winter. 他們幫他度過嚴(yán)冬。
He was very ill, but the doctors brought him through. 他病得很嚴(yán)重，但醫(yī)生使他轉(zhuǎn)危為安。
12. bring together 使和解。如：
I’m not sure that John and his wife can be brought together. 我不敢說約翰與他妻子能和好如初。
13. bring up
(1) 提出，提起。如：
Why brought that up again? 又提它干嗎?
In the course of study they brought up many questions. 在學(xué)習(xí)過程中他們提出了許多問題。
(2) 撫養(yǎng)，培養(yǎng)。如：
He was brought up in the country. 他在農(nóng)村長(zhǎng)大。
She brought up five children. 他撫養(yǎng)了五個(gè)孩子。
(3) 嘔吐。如：
He was so ill that he brought up everything. 他病得很重，什么都吐了出來(lái)。
14. bring sb sth 拿某物給某人。如：
Bring me today’s paper. 請(qǐng)把今天的報(bào)紙給我拿來(lái)。
Could you bring me that chair? 請(qǐng)幫我把那把椅子拿來(lái)好嗎?
注：該結(jié)構(gòu)也可說成 bring sth to sb。如上面兩句也可說成：
Bring today’s paper to me.
Could you bring that chair to me?
