不可數(shù)名詞是因不能數(shù)而無(wú)單復(fù)數(shù)之分的名詞，一般可用no, any, some, a little, much等修飾，如food(食物)，news(新聞)，fruit(水果)，bread(面包)，hunger(饑餓)，truth(真相)等。
There is some food on the table.
桌上有一些食物。
There is much news in the newspaper.
報(bào)紙上有大量新聞。
You can eat any fruit on the table.
你可以吃桌上的任何水果。
A little bread is left in the basket.
筐里剩下一點(diǎn)面包。
They feel no hunger now.
他們不感到餓了。
不可數(shù)名詞包括物質(zhì)名詞、抽象名詞和專有名詞。
抽象名詞是動(dòng)作、性質(zhì)、概念、狀態(tài)等的名稱，如：washing(洗衣)，kindness(仁慈)，time(時(shí)間)，friendship(友誼)，hope(希望)等。
Mother is doing some washing.
媽媽正在洗衣服。
表動(dòng)作：washing 洗衣
Mother is much moved by his kindness.
媽媽被他的仁慈深深打動(dòng)。
表性質(zhì)：kindness 仁慈
It＇s time to go to bed, boy!
孩子，睡覺(jué)的時(shí)間到了！
表概念：time 時(shí)間
Our friendship is everlasting.
我們的友誼地久天長(zhǎng)。
表概念：friendship 友誼
1. 抽象名詞一般無(wú)復(fù)數(shù)形式，不加冠詞，只有特指時(shí)加the。
The friendship between us is long and lasting.
我們的友誼地久天長(zhǎng)。
friendship是特指的。
2. 有些抽象名詞可與of連用，起形容詞的作用。
Your gift is of great value.
你禮物的價(jià)值很大。
相當(dāng)于It is very valuable。
